Brodie Townley

                                                                                Brodie Townley

                                                                                      Contemporary Artist

After graduating from Queen’s University with a degree in physical Geography, Brodie took an unexpected turn which led to his 35-year career in the financial industry with the majority of his time spent at the Bank of Nova Scotia.

The last 12 years of his professional life took him to the Bahamas to open a subsidiary company for Scotiabank.  This venture included extensive travel throughout the Caribbean and Central America.

The stunning vistas he experienced while in the Caribbean only enhanced his ongoing interest in art, colour, and texture.  This ultimately inspired him to ‘pick up the brush’ to express his artistic vision.  In his contemporary works of art, Brodie paints predominately in acrylic. This current body of work integrates the texture of pumice stone to bring additional depth and dimension to his paintings along with vibrant colours.

Born in Toronto, Brodie and his wife Maria now reside in beautiful Niagara-on-the-Lake, where he continues in the development of his artistic endeavors.

Brodie exhibits his work at King St. Gallery in Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON, Canada
