Emily Bickell
ARTIST BIO
Emily Bickell grew up in Whitby, on the shore of Lake Ontario, Canada. In 1998 she received an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Arts with a studio specialization in painting and printmaking from the University of Waterloo. Her art has been featured in magazines such as Style At Home, House & Home, International Artist, and Raum und Wohnen.
A life-long fascination with nature informs Emily's work. Her oil paintings of water float between abstraction and realism. Her floral paintings play with pattern, form and colour.
Recently Emily’s paintings were featured on a billboard by Hershey Canada, and in Tim Hortons’ Donut Day promotion.
Her studio is in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, where she lives with her husband and two children.
