Reggie is a local artist native to the Niagara Region.
She paints every day. Educated in the arts at Christie’s of New York
Reg grew up on a farm, where one is always reminded of the bounty of nature. Yes, it is a feast for the senses. Beauty with every season that you live and breathe is hard to ignore and while she was always drawing and sketching as it came so easily she was also erasing, feeling she could never aptly capture the essence of nature she so wanted to share.
It was in abstraction that Reg found her place. Now approaching her 60th year she is firmly steeped in colour, texture and essence and fully distracted with the abstracted view of things.
A close friend and well - respected artist of realism once said to her, “ you have to feel the mountain or the meadow or the flower, before you can paint it.”
She now understands.
